On John's advice, Jeanine enters an insanity plea to the murder charges and is transferred to a lower security asylum for the criminally insane. After a few months of hell, someone helps her escape. She is stunned to find out that John has come through for her. She returns home to New Orleans with him, and they try to heal the wounds of their old relationship.
