Saturday City

"Saturday City" is Glasgow in Scotland. In the tumultuous period from 1880 till 1918, Glasgow was second only to London among the cities of the Empire. This is the story of that city, a city whose confident, bustling surface does not hide the poverty beneath it.

We watch the Kilgours, the Balfours, and the Flemings as their lives intertwine in love and bitterness, success and failure, survival and death.
