Sara's Station

The long-established colony world of Sargon seems a peaceful place when sixteen-year-old Sara Morgan and her father arrive in their supply ship. While working at the local spaceport, Sara saves a local lordling from an assassination attempt and flees with him and a telepathic monkey to the subterranean catacombs built by the mysterious Old Ones. The Old Ones, known throughout the galaxy as an extinct race of higher beings, have left a doomsday device ticking beneath Sargon. Sara, Lordling Tig, and Banglebus struggle through the underground passages, escaping beasts and Tig’s relatives, both intent on killing them. All the device requires is someone with the blood of the Old Ones in her veins to initiate the final self-destruct sequence. And Sara is having the strangest dreams.
