Sarah needs an escape for the summer -- a chance to hone her skills, since she's not quite the expert everyone thinks she is. So when she comes across an opportunity to be a gardener at Cupid's Hideaway, an Ohio bed-and-breakfast, she jumps at it. And when she meets the handsome local police chief, she realizes she might be able to brush up on more than her gardening.

Chief Dylan O'Connell is intrigued by the new arrival. Especially when she asks him to give her lessons in romance. The romance part Dylan can handle, but the more time he spends with Sarah, the more he wants something permanent. The question is, does she feel the same way?
