Hard-luck private eye Bubba Mabry is desperate for money at Christmastime, so he takes an onerous job: Keeping watch on the Santas at a local mall. When one of the Santas turns up murdered, Bubba and his wife, newspaper reporter Felicia Quattlebaum, must figure out who's been naughty.

This novella, originally published as part of a Christmas mystery collection, is the "lost" Bubba Mabry story, in addition to the seven novels in the series.
