Sands of the Arena

Taken away from her village and family, Aella's placed into the Roman arena and must learn to survive or die. She quickly learns to excel at being a trained killer. She knows how to fight, and she will do anything to gain her freedom. But at what cost? Falling for a mysterious stranger becomes a dangerous distraction for Aella. When she discovers that the stranger is Emperor Tacitus's son, it doesn't make her situation any easier. Despite putting up a tough exterior, Brutus manages to seduce Aella, and capture her heart. Through her quest for liberation, Aella suffers many losses, which will test her will to continue. Her trainer, Braxus, however, won't let Aella fail. He offers her hope, and through him, she finds her inner warrior. With Brutus's undying love, Aella realizes that freedom means more to her than being the last woman standing in the arena.
