A powerful and unprecedented August storm slams into a sandy ocean peninsula on the Pacific coast of Washington State. Racing the rising wind and tide, volunteer firefighter Mick Mahoney frantically searches the beaches for sea turtle biologist, Anna Davis. In his wrecked Suburban they ride out the storm that leaves devastation in its wake for Mick and for the seaside town of Cranberry Beach.
