About This Book

Hugh Sutherland, on his way to take up a research fellowship in surgery in America, had not even reached his destination, Samaritan's Hospital, when he was a witness to a road accident in which a woman almost lost her life. Arriving at the hospital Hugh found that he was even more involved than he had thought, for the woman was the wife of his future colleague and he was under suspicion of having caused the accident himself. It was an event which was to have far-reaching effects on his own life.
