Widowed farmer and father, Ezra Lapp never thought he could love another woman after he lost his wife. Now that his son is grown, he finds himself falling for a woman much too young for him. To make matters worse, she's the daughter of one of his closest friends. Ezra can't seem to stay away from her, however, despite knowing that her daed would never approve of the match. Sally Wagler fears she is destined to be an old maidel. Although she yearns for love and a family of her own, no man has sparked an interest in her since her former beau left Baker's Corner and didn't ask her to go with him. When her feelings start to grow for a much older man, she doesn't believe that anything can ever come from it. Then, she learns of a matchmaking scheme to pair Ezra with her widowed cousin, and all hope seems gone. Can Ezra and Sally find the courage to admit their love for one another?
