In 1903, Salem Young, a seemingly normal eighteen-year-old Welsh boy, has just begun his apprenticeship with his father at the town's butcher shop. As he is forced down the same path as the patriarchs before him, Salem dreams of a grander destiny. For better or worse, that is exactly what he receives.
