Sail Away!

Why would someone prone to seasickness voluntarily sign on board a ship? That's what Anne Moore asks herself as she tries to prepare lunch for the captain, crew, and guests of the sailboat Serenity. She still can't believe she was hired as ship's cook without any experience, but it was the only way she could think of to get close to Captain Bloom without his suspecting her true motives.

Could the captain be her grandfather? It's hard to get close to the stern taskmaster. Luckily, the other crew members are friendlier. Crust old Quince graciously shows her the ropes, and young, eager Skip tells her what he has heard of the captain's history. And then there is Dave. From their first meeting, Anne knows there is something special between them. The heady feeling she gets when she is with him is almost enough to make her forget why she came on board the Serenity--until she discovers that in solving the riddle of her lost family, she is in danger of uncovering a shattering truth about Dave too...
