For fifteen years--while driving cattle and riding Brahman bulls--Gray Lyndon dreamed of his perfect woman. When Joanna McLean moved onto the ranch down the road, he knew he'd found her.

But Joanna was mourning her daughter--killed in a car accident the year before. It was a sad story. Sadder still for her remaining child, a boy of thirteen, who was dying inside because Joanna had become overprotective.
