About This Book

An old man dies leaving certain documents in his Will. The beneficiary is his grandson, a Member of Parliament with outstanding leadership qualities. The documents determine that he is a direct ancestor of King James the Second of England and therefore has been usurped of his right to the throne of Great Britain. He authenticates the documents and then has to decide whether or not he is going to claim his right to the throne. His sister is the Assistant Editor of a national newspaper and she supports him by publishing stories about the bad elements within the Royal Family. However neither of them are certain they can influence the public sufficiently in their cause. A Public Relations company offers to help him but a riot breaks out in the Midlands between two factions between the Royalists and the Parliamentarians. It could be the start of Civil War in Britain... "A wonderful 'what if' assessment of our strange little island " - Claire Ashton
