The Texan was not looking for trouble as he rode north up the Chisholm Trail. He had a price on his head and bounty hunters after him. But when he detoured into Chickasaw country to visit a young Indian friend, trouble found him. Lucy Luffy, pert and pretty bluestocking, was trying to stop a railroad wrecking her archaeological site. Railroad boss James Casper intended getting to the Red River at any cost.
