Robyn Looks for Bears

Bears are big, and scary, and dangerous. Robyn knows if she sees one she'll have a great story to tell for years to come. So when she arrives to spend the summer at her cousin's lodge at Thunder Mountain, she doesn't wait for the bears to come to her. Robyn lies awake at night, writing and rewriting the bear story in her head. When she's asked to make the long hike to Bear Lake, she gets up at 5:30 AM and hits the trail. But the lake, it seems, is misnamed: she doesn't see a single grizzly. Back at the lodge she gives up her quest; staring at the stars one night, however, she gets a surprise: and a good story, too.
