Robbi Risner is fresh off the streets of Chicago. She leaves her dysfunctional family, moves to South Bend with her aunt and quickly secures a job at a local elder care facility. She meets Mr. Guthrie, a stubborn, die-hard Marine who is nearing the end of his life. Robbi takes on the challenge of making sure he has everything he needs. Then the tide turns. Mr. Guthrie offers her an ultimatum that will turn her life around. Can she, a high school graduate with hardly any work experience, become all that he believes she can be?
