Road to Love

Still weak from a bout with pneumonia and weighed down by medical bills, Ann Dawson -- accompanied by her kid sister, Terry -- arrived in Point Hope hoping to make a go of the tiny store a miserly aunt had unexpectedly willed to Ann. But the sisters hadn't even opened for business when Ann received an offer for the property -- and a warning not to sell. The offer came from Vin Warren, representing Harbor Realty and Bancroff Enterprises, which planned to open a new restaurant in the area. The warning came from Mal Shaw, Ann's lawyer, a widower with a young son. As the two attractive men maneuvered for position on the business deal and a place in Ann's personal life, she realized she was growing very fond of Mal. True, she wasn't in love with him -- or he with her -- but marriage to Mal would mean security, and security was what Ann wanted and needed most. Or so she thought, until a near tragedy forced her to re-examine her heart.
