A BEAUTIFUL CON ARTIST
It was supposed to be an easy con, but from the looks of the restless audience at the Flats, Illinois, Opera House, Anna Rose Connolly knows they've figured out that she's no famous singer. Then her manager has an inspiration: he tells them the "Mississippi Songbird" is blind, hoping to gain their sympathy. And his plan just might have worked, if Anna hadn't nearly drowned in the spellbinding gray eyes of a man in the front row.
