Ben Jacobs owns a surf shop with his two siblings. However, he's finding it hard to pretend that surfing is the only thing in life. Stuck in the same old groove, he wants to settle down. Liz McGreary is in California to do research for her new and up coming book. She is a romance writer with a total lack of actual romance experience, being a widow for ten years and having an eighteen-year-old daughter. Liz finds herself alone for the first time to do as she pleases, and gets more that she bargained for when, she meets Ben Jacobs.
