About This Book

He was an American. You could always tell. But an American who spoke French with a Spanish accent? How odd.

Giselle Castineau has a brief but unpleasant encounter with Alex Ballesteros on the French autoroute to the south of France. She s a dancer with the Paris Opera, he s an American with a Spanish grandfather who has encouraged him into the bullring. Giselle is en route to visit her family on the Cote d Azure. He is going to fight in the bullrings of the festive French ferias. That first friction doesn t hide that they are attracted to one another. But Giselle worries about a connection with a man with so precarious a future. Nevertheless, Giselle impulsively follows Alex to Spain to watch him risk his life in the bull ring. When a friend is killed in the ring, she flees, refusing to face a tragic end for Alex.

Back in France she grieves, but prepares to go to Paris to star in a special performance of Swan Lake. But life is sometimes full of tragic twists and turns. Running from her fear may not be the answer she searches for.
