Kruger... Ex-cop and sometime rock musician, Dan Druger wasn't a typical private investigator. Scared of guns and attracted to lost souls, he go the cases that promised to litle money and too much danger. The Client... An illegal alien, Elvira Reyes was young, poor, and desperate. She needed Kruger to locate her brother Ricardo and a package he had taken from her. Although Elvia refused to tell him what she had lost, Kruger took the case, hoping for a fast hundred bucks. But from the start, his investigation was far from simple. For someone had murdered Ricardo and stolen the bag again, and then Elvia disappeared. Drawn into an underworld of illegal workers and street gangs, drug pushers and pimps, Kruger had to find out why the mystery bag was important. If he did, he might get rich - if he didn't, he knew he'd end up dead.
