Jess reluctantly agrees and books into Rhonan Manor Hotel, where she meets the owner, the handsome, Earl of Rhonan, Lord Douglas Mavebury. Immediately attracted to her, he sweeps her off her feet, determined to make her his own. Douglas refuses to believe the manor is haunted, a belief that puts Jess's life in danger.
