Return of the Seekers

The young lady rancher stood, hands on hips, perplexed at the fresh new red and white sign erected overnight at the edge of her property. Her strikingly long blonde hair moved gently in the light breeze, brushing her shoulders as she squinted at the sign with deep concern. An uncustomary deep creased frown settled across her usually bright and cheery face. It was Delores Walker's first clue that the long-abandoned ranch next door, the old Jacobson place, was suddenly occupied. She continued to glare at the unexpected appearance of the 'no trespassing' warnings now occupying the space directly adjacent to the property she owned. What could this possibly mean? She couldn't know the dangerous peril that was about to descend on her little corner of paradise in the tranquil Tesuque Valley of Santa Fe.She couldn't know that far above the unassuming New Mexico skyline of the planet earth, a large ghostly looking Obregonian intergalactic space vessel escorted by sixteen sleek stealthy fighter pods, silently circled the planet. The atmosphere was gravely silent. There would be no discovery. The deadly alien race known as the Seekers had secretly and quietly reappeared on the horizons of planet earth. The Distant Peril had returned.
