Redemption: Tony Hamil and Indian Joe

In the awaited sequel to Goodbye Lake Tahoe, Goodbye Indian Joe, fugitive from Nevada Mob justice, Alaskan fisherman Tony Hamil, returns again to Nevada in a desperate attempt to rescue his adoptive Paiute uncle, Indian Joe. Joe has been wrongfully imprisoned and virtually forgotten in a hospital for the criminally insane for seven long years, but Tony persuades other Paiutes to help, and in spite of great danger to the Tribe. Then once inside the prison, the question becomes whether the careful planning and disguise will see Tony and Joe through the terrible mind bending dangers. Tying the narrative to the painful past, vignettes of other historical persecutions of the Paiute People introduce individual chapters.
