Rebel Barclay, broadcast journalist and community-affairs talk-show host, was accustomed to chasing after stories. From the day Brett Hilliard appeared on her program, however, the tables were turned--now Rebel was the one being pursued.

Brett was a chocolate manufacturer from Chicago with plenty of charm and plans. Big-city ideas for small-town Fultonsville, and for Rebel a proposition of a more personal nature.

But the reporter in Rebel couldn't help wondering if Brett's smooth-talking exterior hid some deep, dark secrets....
