Rebecca's Dream

Rebecca Copeland has always dreamed of becoming a mother, but a bout with scarlet fever takes away her ability to bear children. Instead of bemoaning her fate, however, she decides the good Lord must be calling her to teach school. She and her best friend, Hope Thompson (a former slave), embark on a new adventure to Pelican Rapids, never dreaming they would land themselves right smack in the crosshairs of a scheming matchmaker.
