In the 23rd Century, the world has become an uninhabitable environment and what's left of the population lives alone in individual one person apartments, spending their days in a routine of sleeping, showering, eating, drinking, and amusing themselves with streamed digital entertainment. They interact with each another only online, never meeting each other in a real physical sense. This is the only world they know, until one day Jerome finds an intruder in his apartment, Wren, a beautiful young woman whose curiosity gets the better of her and who wants to see for herself what's inside the stark building complex that she can see from the edge of the forest, where she lives with her family in a settlement that shouldn't really exist.
