Helping delinquent youth was just a part of Jamey Marsh's job as an educational consultant. In the case of one abused teen-ager, Steve Carlson, Jamey knew that a push in the right direction could change his life for the better. A songwriter, Steve got his chance to meet Rue Garrett, a famous country-western singer, when Jamey took Steve to Nashville.

From their first meeting, Jamey felt attuned to Rue's heightened sexuality. But the secret guilt surrounding her own birth made Jamey run deeper into her own career, away from Rue Garrett's charm. Jamey didn't realize that Rue would never take "no" for an answer....
