This work is written by Leslie Ernenwein. Lew Tune had nothing to do with starting the range war between the Anchor and Spade outfits, but he knew he couldn't remain neutral. If Anchor won the war he would probably be safe, but if Spade came out on top, the small cattle owners would be squeezed out - and that included Lew.
