About This Book

It is only a quilt, an inanimate object, that can't possibly have any influence or control of the inner workings of my mind or my physical well being, can it?

The quilt was made for my mother using scraps and remnants of fabric from every day clothing and curtains that decorated our lives from the time I was a little girl, to my marriage years, and through the death of both my father and mother.

When I would go to sleep at night, my mother's quilt would take over and start projecting the memory films. Many mornings I would wake up feeling pain and pressure where there was none when I went to sleep. Many mornings the depression would be so overwhelming that climbing out of bed was beyond my capabilities.

Could the quilt be controlling my life?
