Puzzle from the Past

The office loft comic-strip artist Mary Pat Donovan shares with Olivia Cur­ wood and Corey Applegate is always a lively place. Mary Pat's comic strip, "Make Mine Millie," is achieving na­tional success; it seems only a matter of time before Olivia and Corey make it big too. You'd be hard pressed to find three people with more imagination. But a bizarre phone call from Mary Pat's long-lost relative sets off a chain of events that even his trio couldn't have dreamed up...

The mystery begins when distant cousin Josephine Caldwell insists that Mary Pat has-or at least had-a brother. Amidst denials from her par­ ents and lack of substantial evidence, Mary Pat is tempted to write Josephine off as a kook. And then the "accidents" start happening. Could it all be coinci­dence, or are the Donovan's the target of some strange vendetta? With Corey's help, Mary Pat uncovers two jigsaw puzzles that could solve the mystery. But the faces the puzzles reveal could change both of their lives forever!
