Boone is a man on the edge. Driven to desperate acts by his sister's kidnapping, he captures K, hoping she can lead him to where his little sister is being held. But when he removes her special suit, strange things start happening.

Removed from her comforting routine and separated from the parasitic skin-suit, K is beginning to change. Her body is blossoming and her mind is opening. For the first time in her life she can feel…whether she wants to or not. In order to survive in her new environment she has to cooperate with Boone.
