After surviving terror at home (Officer Jones) and abroad (Huddled Masses) in the past year, JP Warner now must confront his most challenging enemy - the past.

An eerie incident on the anniversary of his brother's murder, on the same bridge, takes JP back to that fateful night. But when he launches his own investigation, it leads much further into the past - to a 1959 case of a missing high school student that had long been forgotten, and local legend had attributed it to a 19th-Century Indian curse.

With the town at a crossroads between its future and past, with an upcoming election set to determine its fate, the curse has returned with a vengeance. And as JP peels away the layers, he finds that the idyllic Connecticut town he grew up in has many secrets. Deep dark ones.
