Maxwell Thomas is hiding out from the law. With a million dollar bounty on his head, he's suspicious of the pretty redhead who shows up at his remote Texas cabin during a blizzard. But TJ Callahan appears to be just as she claims: a woman whose car ran into a ditch.

TJ's on a mission to save the family ranch from foreclosure, even if it means turning bounty hunter on Christmas Eve. She's never apprehended a criminal, and never encountered a man as tall, dark, and dangerous as Max, but she can't let that stop her. Before long, though, she and Max are running from a killer--and Max is starting to trust her.
