Kate is a research scientist who has perfected the cloning technique. She feels the government abuses her research and decides to end her career. Professor McLaughlin wants to clone Kate desperately so that he will have someone to carry on her research, but Kate refuses. Not even her husband Brad can convince her that he wants a child badly and that cloning isn’t such a bad idea. Brad’s longing for a child overpowers his sense of right and wrong and when McLaughlin offers a solution, he agrees to cooperate.
