Yuri, is a Spetsnaz Captain suffering with PTSD, or so BioEngineer Dr. Kat believes, until a lab accident reveals latent memories that prove her neural device has allowed him to be turned into an FSB weapon. With Yuri now lucid, they discover Colonel Karpov is using Yuri on Putin's behalf to run a terror campaign to ensure Putin's re-installation as President. But power hungry Colonel Karpov wants to use Yuri to assassinate Putin and the senior leadership in order to kick off a coup. Their only hope is a wounded, hunted, and disavowed CIA agent. Their only chance is to hijack the coup, save Putin, and thus themselves.
