About This Book

HAZARDOUS CARGO

Captain Jo-lac of the freighter Raptor didn't want any complications in her life, but she needed to sign a cargo and get on with business. So when she found herself cheated out of a contract, she was forced to accept a prisoner-transport run from the Military Authority.

But neither the prisoner, Lewis, nor the job were what Jo expected. Though genetically classified a Class Ten -- a virtual vegetable -- Lewis appeared surprisingly normal. And even before Raptor could pull out-of-system, she was nearly destroyed by an MA cruiser. Jo took the attack personally and was determined to discover just what her prisoner was and why her employers wanted him dead.

As each step she took dragged her deeper into a conspiracy she sought to avoid, Jo began to suspect that her greatest danger was Lewis -- for against her better judgment, her interest in the enigmatic prisoner was becoming all too personal...
