Princess Peculiar: Short Fiction

Samantha Smiley had always achieved a simple by rules kind of life; finished college with a degree, went to church every Sunday and avoided anything that looked like trouble, until one day her new neighbor was rushed off to the emergency room and her eight-year-old daughter was left behind in her care. At first, she thought that this would be easy until she quickly realized she had a lot of growing up to do while her neighbor's daughter, Olivia Jennifer Consuela Beyoncé Martinez had a lot of growing down to do. Then again, with a name like that, made up or not, she was bound to be a handful. How hard could it be to watch her until her mother made it out of the hospital? During the short amount of time, can two girls, one grown up and one still growing, teach each other a lot about the facts of life?
