President Harrison's Horse Race

Being a fourteen-year-old orphan is no deterrent for Robert Jenkins. This young man waits anxiously for the noon bugle call that will signal the opening of thousands of acres of free land in the Cherokee Strip of Oklahoma Territory. Too young to claim a land grant, Robert intends to use his skills as a photographer to take pictures of homesteader families who wish to send photos to the folks back home. Robert must also settle a score with Boris Caldwell and his son Jedediah-a vendetta that will cost Robert countless disappointments before he can take his revenge.
