Lancashire in the early 1900s was a place of poverty and hardship, where singing was for church and life was for getting on with. But Clara's unbreakable spirit and passion for music made her shine against the bleakness of that life. A saga about innocence, suffering and the will to succeed in which a girl, whilst singing hymns at her local Sunday school, could never imagine that one day she would be performing at the London Palladium before King George V and Queen Mary.
