Sara Green Whitney Dutton was born before the Civil War. She lived in a bracket of time, as we all do, in a line of time and events. Her friends and family lived essentially in-between those brackets. Some entered later, some left before she did, some after, but no one escapes the roughly 100-year potential lifespan of human beings.
