Plot 13, Zone 3

Mo. Barrow is a successful farmer with a hidden motive and a shady past. All around him other farmers are crumbling and have mortgaged huge swathes of their land to him, never to re-claim them. Still Barrow must have more land. And especially Plot Thirteen, Zone Three! There is hidden treasure there that only he and his henchmen know about, and he has to get his hands on the property first before staking a public claim to all else within. But one woman and her child stand between Barrow and his ultimate goal. When the two embark on a foolhardy venture to cross through the mountains in search of a market for their cattle, Barrow sees a possible solution at hand and orders men to get rid of both mother and son. They manage to get rid of the woman but somehow the boy survives. Later on in his life, much later, Barrow tastes the bitter realization that revenge knows no boundaries as the boy takes him head-on. And despite his unlimited resources, Barrow soon finds out that motivation alone can at times triumph over seemingly uneven odds...
