Life has always been uncomplicated for Megan Carter. But when Megan starts her sophomore year by falling in love with Troy Fennell, things become a little more complex.

When Troy encourages Megan to try out for the field hockey team, her natural athletic ability lands her a spot on the varsity squad. Megan doesn't expect to become the school's star athlete - but that's exactly what happens! Soon she's so involved with being a sports celebrity that she begins to lose sight of the more important things in her life - including Troy.
