About This Book

This humorous micro-fiction children's story is dedicated to my Down's syndrome son. He enjoys making funny sounds and outrageously comedic faces. Since he likes ducks, I imagine he would like platypuses as well. Platypus Boy is from Australia. He visits America, where he discovers strange similarities and stark differences. He learns valuable lessons that increase his understanding and broaden his perspective. He makes new friends in a land far from his home. He notices that everyone there is different. He learns that everyone there sees him as the one who is different. I made up this story for my son when he was about two years old. He is seven as of the time of this publication. This story is a sequel to another story I composed for him at the same time, titled Duck Boy on the Platypus Farm.
