In the Wild West days of the 1990s, expatriates flocked to the the former Soviet Union in search of adventure and riches. The Great Russian Bear eagerly obliged anyone with enough strength (or stupidity) to ride the wave of corruption and uncertainty that plagued the bygone Superpower, a nation tragically plunged into political, economic and social unrest. This is one woman's journey into those dark days of Russia, an exploration not only of the country she chose to call home, but also an exploration of the limits of her strength and character. Walk alongside her as she struggles to adjust to her new surroundings. Revel in her rekindled sexuality. Weather all her blows, then rejoice in her eventual triumph. This was the road taken: the darker and wilder branch. Neither she nor Russia emerged unscathed, but both rose from the flame, victorious.
