Planet Scout - Brandywine

"Planet Scout - Brandywine" continues the "Planet Scout" series bringing a neophyte scout from Mars to Brandywine to look for metals with his fellow "Third Scouts." Glenn Porter is an experienced machinist, but has only been on Mars for his Master's Degree in "Planetary Science." He doesn't know if any of his fellow students have any aptitude for scouting. He's broke; he has to do well enough to be hired by Blake Metals. A medical problem eliminates one of his fellow student and injury eliminates another. He enjoys the wild, lonely windswept slopes of Brandywine where he saves one of the Second Scouts up on the tundra of the First Claw ridge. Lea Morrison recovers quickly and they decide to bond. He finds chromium ore, chromite, in a concentration high enough to be valuable to Blake's Metals. Follow them as they find a new species and help bring a Leedan doctor out to Timoron.
