Robbie Parker had a life that most young boys only dream about. He had the best parents in the world and he learned about love at a young age. His father was a Marine as was his father before him. Robbie was destined to follow in their footsteps.

The Vietnam War and its aftermath took its toll on his body and his mind. There had never been a war like this one. This one was on the television every day and the public was tired of a war that had no end in sight. Too many sons were being lost or crippled, and for what? Riots and protests went on in the country for years. Robbie was a strong man but it would take all the strength he could muster to overcome the tragedies in his life and the tumultuous times.
