Pillars of the Community

Janice dreamed of a simple life. One where she could start a business of her own , work hard and watch it grow. People envied her, thinking she could have anything in her life, when in reality she couldn't even have her simple dream. She was born to be a pillar of the community, and that is what her family expected her to be. There was never going to be a simple life for her if they had anything to do with it. In the end she married to appease her family. A man who it seemed, had it all. If anything, his family lived like they owned the golden goose. Everything they touched earned more money. It took Janice years to realize what they lacked, was what she wanted most. And if she wanted it enough, she was going to have to go after it.
