Valentine Taylor loves animals!

Val works at Animal Inn, her dad's animal clinic. Usually, she can keep things under control, but this Saturday—complete with a maniac cat and a suspiciously fat bunny—things are getting out of hand.

Then Doc Taylor gets a call that's really serious. There's been an accident at the Merrill stables, and The Gray Ghost, a champion show-jumper, has been injured.

What's even worse is that Mr. Merrill wants to put the horse to sleep, and he won't take no for an answer. But that's before Val comes up with her plan. She knows she's got to make some hard choices and save The Gray Ghost's life. And she will—or she doesn't deserve to be the vet's daughter!
