Pattern of Loving

Pretty, young Jenny Milford was happy with her job as schoolteacher -- but everyone in her home town seemed determined to marry her off to Ralph Aston, the local farmer whom she had "gone with" as long as she could remember.

Jenny vowed she would not wed Ralph or perhaps any man. Especially not handsome, arrogant Dr. Hamish Stewart, the outsider who had come to search for ancient relics buried in the countryside.
